The History Behind The Beginning Of cardioR.E.S.T
W
hile working in the medical device industry, our team of multi-disciplinary engineers and biomedical engineering students from Georgia Tech were frustrated by a lack of available software to conduct a comprehensive simulation of their cardiac devices while verifying these results through real world evidence. A patchwork of resources and activities from multiple sources were required to conduct their verification and validation activities.
Realizing that they were not alone in their frustrations, cardioR.E.S.T. was formed to accomplish research, evaluations, computer and physical simulations, and conduct non-clinical benchtop testing as a service to address the medical device industry’s growing need for a full product lifecycle support in one place.
